February 27, 2013 (Atlanta, GA) – The cloud has experienced rapid adoption in business functions such as IT, but only 14 percent of global HR departments currently leverage cloud-based HR solutions, according to recent research from NorthgateArinso (NGA).
To help businesses better realize the strategic benefits of cloud-based HR solutions, NGA announced today the establishment of its Cloud Transformation Services Practice to be led by Hank Johnson, an expert in domestic and international HR strategy and operations. Johnson joins NGA from Towers Watson where he led the HR Service Delivery Practice for the Americas.
Johnson brings to NGA more than 30 years of HR consulting experience with a focus in HR transformation, service delivery strategy and implementation, organization and business process design, HR systems implementation and HR outsourcing. Under Johnson’s leadership, the Cloud Transformation Services Practice will specialize in guiding companies of all sizes through cloud technology implementations, ongoing application maintenance, HR process support, change management and user adoption.
“In a world of rapid technology innovation and changing global business demands, it’s vital that HR executives are equipped with not only the right technologies, but also the expertise and partnerships necessary to be impactful contributors to the corporate strategy,” said Mike Ettling, CEO of NGA. “Given NGA’s long term experience with cloud configuration, standardization and global roll-outs, the Cloud Transformation Services Practice will provide businesses with a dedicated team equipped with the experience, insight and technologies essential for HR success.”
With a history of helping HR leaders navigate cloud, BPO and OnPremise, NGA has built partnerships with leading technology providers, including Oracle, SAP, SuccessFactors, and Workday, to ensure greater integration, functionality, compatibility and ease of use for cloud-based solutions. The Cloud Transformation Services Practice will continue to drive NGA’s legacy and leadership in HR cloud technologies, which includes NGA’s HR and payroll BPaaS (Business Process as a Service) platform, euHReka.
“Businesses that seek to thrive in this evolving, globalized marketplace must be nimble and ensure that HR is a strategic contributor to the corporate strategy – making cloud-based HR solutions critical to any organization,” said Johnson, practice lead for NGA’s Cloud Transformation Services Practice. “Venturing into the cloud can be intimidating; however, through the launch of this practice we offer customers an experienced partner to help them remove the complexity and challenges involved in leveraging cloud-based HR solutions.”
