The two day SCOPE HR Summit 2015 begin here in New Delhi today with an emphasizing note from Union Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Minister Shri Anant G. Geete to the Human Resource professionals from CPSEs for playing responsible and informed role to nurture the human resource in the organizations to produce quality products in line with the vision of Make in India launched by Government of India. Inaugurating the summit.
The minister said Globalization has changed the business environment and way of doing business this has brought to centre stage the importance of Human Resource professionals. He said we have to strive hard and the HR departments are required to provide proper direction to the employees so that they could be a valuable asset in their respective field of expertise.
Shri Geete said our country has a good work culture. He said in government owned Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) employees have belongingness and family environment. He said the HR departments are required to provide proper direction to the employees so that they could be a valuable asset in their respective field of expertise. The Minister said Government will consider more empowerment to the Boards of PSEs to take decisions.
The minister also released the Special Edition of KALEIDOSCOPE magazine based on the theme of the summit i.e. “HR for the Future – Unleashing Human Potential”.
He also awarded gold trophies to Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, Engineers India Ltd and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd , the winners of SCOPE HR Summit Case Study Contest. On this occasion, Shri K.D. Tripathi, Secretary, DPE, Shri C.S. Verma, Chairman, SCOPE and Chairman, SAIL, Dr. U.D. Choubey, DG, SCOPE, Ms. Veena Swarup, Director (HR), EIL and Summit Convener, Shri Vipul Tuli, Director, Mckinsey & Co. and Mr. R. Krishnan, Director (HR), BHEL also addressed the inaugural session.
